Reward Card

08-9-10

Some of the perks you will enjoy when you have a reward card include free travel and earning cash back. When you choose rewards, choose the ones that are essential and those which you can actually use. And always be careful not to choose reward cards that require high annual premiums and interest rates. Looking for the best credit card reward programs is dependent on your way of living.

If you carry a balance from month to month and if you are a constant traveler, both are determining factors when applying for reward credit cards. Because credit cards with reward programs have higher rate that those without reward programs, you should also take into considerations your spending and payment practice.

Motor Home Insurance Quotes

The motor home or trailer is not the same as your car and is also different from your home. In terms of insurance, the motor home insurance quotes are definitely not the same with that of a homeowner’s or car insurance quote. A motor home requires different coverage. When you are comparing motor home insurance quotes, you need to take into consideration several features. The policy coverage of motor home insurance quotes may show discrepancy to a great extent. Even if it is the cheapest, it does not mean that it is the best because that will depend to what you really need. Before buying, it would be better if you shop around first and study your options.

Your car and you house, those are your investments and so is your motor home. Just like the car and the house, the best way to protect your motor home is to have insurance. The insurance for a motor home is quite distinctive. Because the motor home is a motor vehicle, you need to be protected from all problems that can happen when you are on the road. Your insurance policy must include protection against collisions, accidents, injury and all those types.  And because a motor home can also be a place where you can live, you need to get insurance that will give the same protection with that of a homeowner. Your motor home insurance quotes must include protection from fire and theft among others.

Initially, it looks demanding but doing the right comparison will do the trick. At the end of the day, just choose the insurance that suits your needs.

Recalling: Kurt Angle Puder Incident

03-5-10

Man, I just recalled one event during the time when I was so into WWE. There was this One Million Dollar Tough Enough contest. The winner will be given a contract in the WWE. Daniel Puder, the winner-to-be in that contest, challenged Angle to a wrestling match. Puder got a hold of a standing kimura lock. He almost broke the arm of Angle! This was way out of the script. And the referees were obviously worried about the match. One of the refs counted one two three and stopped the match via pin-fall, just to save Angle from further embarassment.

Angle was so pissed about this incident and obviously he was pretty pissed at Puder. Angle continued to retaliate on the Tough Enough contestant during interviews and he said he will beat Puder anytime in an MMA match.

Yes you read it right. One of my favorite TV shows of all-time, Lost, is back and it is on its sixth seaso. Unfortunately, this is the last season of Lost. Yeah, yeah, all good things have to end. But new and fresh goodness will come for sure, just like the Flashforward TV series. It’s a nice show too.

Lost Season 6 will surely be packed with more twists and turns. So I suggest you take some time to watch every episode. As we near the end of Lost, every episode gets better and better. Below is a depiction of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, featuring the cast of Lost.

Diet Supplements

01-17-10

On the average, dieters are just wasting their money on diet supplements. Most of the diet supplements that you can see in the market will not actually help you get rid of those unwanted pounds. And there are even quite a few which cost a lot and do not deliver the expected results leaving the unsuspecting dieters frustrated and discouraged to go on with their program. But in reality, there are scientifically proven supplements that contain powerful ingredients that work efficiently.

How Can We Lose Weight Naturally

01-12-10

Many people are looking for quick ways to lose weight. They want to easily eliminate their extra fats as soon as possible. But in reality, losing weight cannot be obtained quickly, unless you make use of some magic pill being sold in the black market. A friendly advice, don’t go for quick lose weight schemes. This is a similar advice to people going for get ich quick scheme. Losing weight through natural means is always the best thing to do.

One very common activity that should be kept in mind is regular exercise. If you really want to lose those fats, go hit the treadmill, or take a run in the parkregularly. Aside from exercise, always remember to have a proper diet. Choose your food. Avoid too much fatty foods that will just contribute to the fat deposits in your body. You might also want to hit the gym and hire a professional fitness coach.

I tried using Google Chrome on my desktop PC at home. It was pretty fast and simple - two things that I love about application. Although I encountered some problems so I switched back to Mozilla Firefox.

I enjoyed ready theGoogle Chrome comics though. It explains the over-all engineering of the browser. Lots of geeky stuff.

Some movies that I want to watch are:

Fast and Furious 4 - I love action packed movies so I would definitely watch this one.

Monsters vs Aliens - This movie will probably give some laughing time.

Angels and Demons - I am planning to read Dan Brown’s work. Hopefully I get to finish it first before watching the film.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Another action-packed movie. I am not a Wolverine fan but I saw Gambit in the trailer so I will watch this for sure.

Starcraft 2 Coming Soon

02-21-09

I can’t wait to grab a copy of Starcraft 2. When will it be released? Well sources said, Starcraft 2 will be finished by 2009. Man, I really can’t wait. I’ve been a huge fan of Starcraft since my high school days. I’ve had lots of epic battles with classmates, friends and Internet cafe players.

I remembered the long hours I spent battling with my long time gaming friend Jobi and with my College Batchmate Adrian.

My strategy is mass attacking. I am defensive during the early minutes of the gameand if I was able to expand quickly, I’ll be able to amass a huge army of flying units (Guardian/Devourer, Wraiths with Cloak, Scouts).

In Starcraft 2, there will be lots of new possible tactics. A bunch of new units plus some good old enhancements of original Starcraft units.

The Lost TV Series Fever

01-25-09

I became a “viewer” (note, I didn’t use the word “fan”) of Lost TV Series last year. I liked the show because it has lots of twists and turns in the story, just like the Prison Break Series.

My favorite characters in the show are Sayid (Naveen Andrews) and Sawyer (Josh Holloway). I like Sayid’s killer instincts and Sawyer’s transformation from an arrogant bully to a caring friend. I also like the character of Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) because of his innate skills to manipulate the minds of other people. He is also a planner who carefully analyzes every aspect of the situation and makes up effective actions towards acheiving his goals.

Lost is currently airing Season 5.

Google Chrome

12-12-08

I tried using Google Chrome on my desktop PC at home. It was fast and it has a simple interface - two things that I love about applications. Although after a period of time, I encountered some problems with it. I was too lazy to figure out why or how to solve the problem so I just went back to my old, stable and trusty Mozilla Firefox.

I loved the Google Chrome comics though. Lots of geeky stuff about the engineering behind the Google Chrome web browser.

Why I Chose Gmail over Ymail

10-14-08

Well, Yahoo has lots of improvements on its email service but right now, I would rather use Google’s Gmail. The things that I like about Gmail is the simplicity. As I have mentioned in my other blogs, I am an advocate of simplicity. Gmail’s interface is also as neat as a white sheet of paper. Well, not really. But it has a pretty clean user interface.

I also maintain a couple of Yahoo! mail accounts though. Actually, last week I created a new Yahoo! mail account in order to activate my MyBlogLog account.

So to wrap things up, I prefer using Gmail because of its simplicity and user-friendliness. It is also relatively faster that Yahoo! mail.

Travel Gizmos

08-31-08

http://www.podcastingnews.com/content/wp-content/uploads/2006/09/icarta-ipod-potty.gifTraveling with the whole family is a lot fun and bringing along some practical gadgets would do the trick to avoid experiencing typical problems that may happen along the way.

Young and adults alike are most likely to bring some electronic wonders to add excitement during the trip. Examples of these devices are the iPods and the MP3s. But these gadgets need to be charged. Charging can be made possible using a universal USB car charger.

Another must when traveling are the GPS, digital camera and PIM. These too are rechargeable. To make life easier, mobile rechargeable battery charger must be available.

St. Helens Combination

08-13-08

http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb153/cablestiger/2007_08180009.jpgIt was the 4th of August year 1917 when Ernest Worrall called up for a meeting with some friends and social groups. The meeting was held at the former LMS Club which is now the British Rail Club Penlake Lane Sutton. They formed a league and called it The St. Helens & District Junior Football League with Harry Thompson, John Marsh and Ernest Worrall as the Chairman, President and General Secretary respectively. It started as the League Championship Cup but in 1919, the Martin Cup was presented to the league by Mr. John Martin. The divisions were reorganized in 1921 forming Division 1 and Division 2 clubs both having sections A and B. This resulted to formation of the combination of sections. Later on the league came to be known as St. Helens Combination. At present, the Combination has 40 clubs.

Whistling Ducks

07-28-08

http://www.dkimages.com/discover/previews/981/50407798.JPGA whistling duck is among duck species that is long-legged and long necked. This specie is called whistling duck because of the sound of its hissing cries and while flying it can produce whirring wing sounds. These ducks are unique and they are estranged from other kinds that belong to Anatidae family as Dendrocygnini tribe. Another characteristic of whistling ducks is that they are convivial however they can be hostile.

The male and female whistling ducks looks almost the same in terms of their feathers and manners in fact some species arrange or trim their feathers mutually. They are also known to be tree ducks and are more strongly associated to the geese and swans.

The Barbie Doll

07-10-08

http://www.householdinnovations.co.uk/shop/images/barbie-logo.jpgThe very phenomenal Barbie doll started out as a human being in the person of Barbara Handler, daughter of Ruth Handler who invented Barbie. Back in the 50s, Ruth noticed that young Barbara and her friends enjoyed playing with adult female dolls than baby dolls. She thought that this is because the girls love to imagine what they would become when they grow up rather than knowing how to care for babies might be like.

Back then, adult dolls are only available in the form of paper and cardboard. That’s when Ruth Handler decided to make a 3-D lifelike adult female doll that will serve as an inspiration to her daughter of what her future will be.

Stress in Teenagers

06-30-08

http://www.kickoutstress.com/images/clinician.jpgIt is common knowledge that teenagers can be in situations where they experience a lot of stress. At times when they cannot deal with stress, they tend to show behavior that further complicates and worsens their problems. If left unmanaged, stress can lead to anxiety, physical illness, aggression and withdrawal. Unfortunately, many teenagers turn to alcohol and drug abuse as means of dealing with their life problems. Unconsciously, they obliterate the opportunity of having a bright future. In this regard, parents should help their teenagers cope with stress. What the parents can do is to monitor their sons/daughter’s behaviors, health and speech so that they will be aware of whatever situation that their teens are experiencing.
